About Shawn Santee
Shawn brings over 25 years of expertise in homebuilding and land development. After earning his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from North Carolina State University in 1988, he began his career with the Mecklenburg County Engineering Department in Charlotte, NC. In 1999, he transitioned to the private sector as the VP of Land at the McAlpine Group, where he significantly boosted production from 200 to 900 lots per year between 2000 and 2004. His extensive experience in land acquisition and development makes him a valuable asset in the industry.
Shawn joined Lennar as the VP of Land in the Charlotte market in 2004 where he swiftly adapted to the processes and structure of one of the nation's-largest production home builder. Leading the land acquisition and development team, Shawn was deeply involved in every facet of land acquisition and development, including negotiating purchase agreements, managing due diligence and entitlement processes. His efforts ensured the successful delivery of fully developed lots for the home building division.

Shawn brings a wealth of experience to table, having worked with both publicly and privately owned companies in the real estate sector. His hands-on management approach ensures that projects are overseen from inception to completion. Additionally, Shawn has collaborated with investors and national equity groups, offering expert land development services throughout Charlotte and its surrounding areas.
